in the summer I kinda go a bit library crazy and loan out anything I can get my hands on relishing that none of it is coursework related but usually managing to fit something historcal or non fiction into the mix!
I have just finished a fantastic book 'Baby Doll' by Holly Overton about an escaped abductee and her daughter and what happened to them whist adjusting to normal life. Very similar to 'Room' by Emma Donoghue which I also loved
Have also just finished a summer chick lit book 'Sweet Revenge' by Jane Fallon. Ok nothing special

I am currently reading a book called Human Blasphemy by R.E James. Human Blasphemy is a coming of age story laden with fame and celebrity. Love and Loss. Passion and disgust. It is, for the most part, a true story, but names, dates and places have been altered to protect the innocent as well as the guilty. R.E James is one of my favourite un-printed authors. She has a very raw way of writing and can express emotion in everything she writes. Her style varies also, which I think makes her a very diverse artist. It was available on Kindle but she has removed them whilst she is working on the second book. I will add a link when it becomes available again, should anyone be interested in reading it. I do have an email copy that I will get her permission to forward on should anyone want it. Human Blasphemy is a book that always has been and always will be very close to my heart. Ruth - The author - happens to be my best friend of the last 16 years. The book is over 10 years of heartache, anxiety, blood, sweat and tears (from both of us). The truth within each page can be very difficult to read for me, but I enjoy going back and reading it again. It is a reminder of how far we have both come and what we have gotten through together. Our lives are in those pages and I couldn't think of anyone better to write our story

sounds very interesting! I find when a person writes from the heart it can be a very moving experience...for the author and the readers. ts more 'real' if that does nt sound too condescending.
Ive just picked up jodi Picoult's new offering 'Small, Great Things'.She has always been a favourite writer of mine but hae nt read anything from her for some time. ready rather gripping focusing on racism, and white supremacy wthh the usual court drama

Doesn't sound condescending at all. I quite agree.
I've only read My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult. I haven't actually looked at what is on the market just recently. I want to read the latest Stephen King book though. He is my favourite author 😊
