Camping...it's simple. It's going right back to basics when it comes to travel. Do you enjoy camping? Where is your favourite spots to pitch a tent? Got advice for other campers? Share your knowledge and experience here.

So I started this thread because I'm going camping next weekend. A weekend in the beautiful and picturesque Stratford-upon-Avon. The home of Shakespeare. I'm excited but also a little apprehensive. It's must be easily 12-15 years since I last went camping and that was not a pleasant experience! Saying that, would it ever be? A group of stupid, inexperienced 13-16 year olds, buying a cheap pop up tent on a whim in Asda and finding somewhere quite to pitch! Lol! Hopefully this time round will be a far more relaxed experience! And topping it off with a couple of gigs and some sightseeing. Although I really do need to invest in a rucksack! The suitcase isn't going to be the most appropriate item of luggage to take!

NO , no , no and no again.
Both times I have been camping it was a disaster although fully understand my biased attitude to having to sleep outside with no creature comforts did hot help the situation! Yes I am a holiday snob! If going away I have no desire to cook for myself, clean up after my children, or basically have to lift a finger when my entire live usually revolves around various forms of housework!
Im also not an outdoorsy, I love nature kinda person! find me a big city with noise and people and things to do!

Lol! See whereas I am the complete opposite. I hate busy. I hate hustle and bustle. Give me the countryside's and woodlands anyday. I am the same as you though in the sense that each time I've been camping, it's been a disaster. I also don't think I've ever packed up and brought a tent home. They usually got ruined with our inexperience!
I am a little more relaxed this time round. Going with Mr organised who has had everything under control for weeks, definitely takes the pressure off 😂

I wouldn't mind trying glamping either. But I was thinking more those lovely little igloo's in Finland to watch the Northern Lights! I think that would be pretty kick ass!
